²⁶ At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath:^(A) “Cursed^(B) before the Lord is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho:

³⁴ In Ahab’s time, Hiel of Bethel rebuilt Jericho. He laid its foundations at the cost of his firstborn son Abiram, and he set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, in accordance with the word of the Lord spoken by Joshua son of Nun.^(A)

³ From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering to the Lord: the internal organs^(A) and all the fat^(B) that is connected to them,

⁹ From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering^(A) to the Lord: its fat, the entire fat tail cut off close to the backbone, the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them,

¹⁵ Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice^(A) of praise—the fruit of lips^(B) that openly profess his name.

¹¹ the sounds of joy and gladness,^(A) the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings^(B) to the house of the Lord, saying,

For I will restore the fortunes^(E) of the land as they were before,^(F)’ says the Lord.

¹⁴ This is what the Lord says:

¹⁶ “Look,” they said, “we your servants have fifty able men. Let them go and look for your master. Perhaps the Spirit^(A) of the Lord has picked him up^(B) and set him down on some mountain or in some valley.”

“No,” Elisha replied, “do not send them.”
